Paris- Designer Crocheted Afghan

PARIS- Designer Crocheted Afghan

I wanted to show off my latest creation! I'm pretty impressed with myself and yeah, in the conceited kinda way.

This is the up lose view of the tower itself.

It says Paris on the bottom:

And Anna on the top.

Here is an ever better view of the word or name, if you will Paris, when I first started.

You can sort of see how big it is here, with my niece Anna and husband David trying to hold it against a wall. This is so you can also see the insides of Paris. The blanket fits a queen bed. And yes, this is the Anna it was made for!

This blanket only took me about a week. It took two bulk skiens of black and one and a half skiens of bulk white. Four skiens of the black and white variegated yarn. I of course used red heart yarn.

It is machine washable and dryable as well.

To get a blanket made with designer shapes every price is different and it requires half the money down, because I need to purchase the yarn. Yes, you can supply the yarn if you wish. However, no wool, I'm allergic and no crappy yarn.

Any questions feel free to call me at 321-223-1421 or email me at ohiobornfloridian@yahoo.com no spam please.

The Price of Crochet Gifts!

I found this worthy of a separate post, because too many people just make fun of those of us and the price of our crochet projects, and don't even think of the amount of time put into them. So I wanted to share this when I found it:

Display!

I finally had enough money to purchase displays & stuff for my Jewelry sales! I'm so pleased that I wanted to share!

My Velvet bracelet stand which is already full!

A view of the Velvet neck piece displaying the Disney's Belle Necklace with matching plastic yellow beads!

Here I'm trying to display my tower of necklaces on a metal necklace rack, two Velvet necks for necklaces, and baggies of misc jewelry and other misc jewelry unbagged!

I've bagged up three boxes full this far of items ready to be sold! I'm excited! Here are a few recently made new items:

These are all of the pierced earrings post wise on a sheet of plastic canvas for display purposes! Many more are bagged up! We also have clip earrings for those who still don't have pierced ears!

Details: Creating Jewelry!

If you think making jewelry is simple, to some it may be! But it is also not as "cheap" as you may think. Look here at my photo:

You see two sets of small black beads, $2.99 each. The spider pendant for the necklace I intend to design, with said beads; also $2.99. Now let's consider the clasp of my choosing which could be sterling silver, gold, magnetic, pewter, copper, or simply plain and of course simple and cheap. Than you have the string of my choosing, the crimping beads, and of course my time. Now afterwards, if I put it into my jewelry baggies, or whatever and ready it for display for Craft Shows and what not.

Now how much do you think the completed piece of jewelry "should" sell for?

That's just it! With crafts, one never gets their worth out of them; trust me!

Consider "that" the next time you but something homemade and handmade!

Apple Seed Necklace!

This is a necklace made from Apple seeds and then shalacked to protect it from weather, water and of course: growth. I used fishing line, thick and extra durable making the strength of the necklace strong. The necklace is long, so it can be wrapped around your head twice, and be put atop your head without needing a clasp.

The necklace is not edible.

1 of a Kind Dallas Cowboys Crochet Blanket!

I've been working on this, secretly. I've even made instructional videos on "How to!" But my Spouse won't allow me to post them! Why? Because what I do is unique, and even difficult! I double crocheted this with a C hook, starting in March 2014 finishing in April 2014!

Here you see my creation! I spelled "Dallas" on the top, and "Cowboys" on the bottom! But the most difficult part: the "Star!" In the middle! I had to pluck and pull the star out several times; and in all reality: I'm still unimpressed with it! But... It however, was my first attempt and I do intend to try another later! After all; I am a perfectionist!

Here is the star, compared to my Husbands hand!

The border, showing you the Chinese fan stitch now used as a ruffle border! As well; you see the "Fan pride" yarn!

So what do you think?
